Winter in Saalbach
Extensive winter walks or romantic horse-drawn carriage rides, snowshoe hikes over virgin snow or rapid descents down one of the many Saalbach-Hinterglemm pistes – a winter holiday in Pension Wallner in Glemmtal/Saalbach-Hinterglemm allows you to forget your daily stresses and put rest and relaxation in the spotlight.
The Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski circuit is one of the largest, most beautiful regions in which to enjoy your winter holiday. As of December 2015, there will also be a connection to the Fiebebrunn ski area, making this into one of the largest ski resorts in Europe. Just 20 metres from our house, you can take the latest gondolas and ski lifts to over 200 km of perfectly groomed pistes, ensuring that every day of your holiday is a memorable one. Both beginners and advanced skiers will find the perfect skiing conditions, and all levels of difficulty are catered for. A cross-country paradise over 10 km of groomed trails will convince even newcomers to this particular sport to try it out for the first time. In Saalbach-Hinterglemm, winter is shown to its best advantage!
Away from the pistes and trails, Saalbach-Hinterglemm has plenty more to offer in the way of adventure and leisure activities! One destination definitely worth a visit is Europe’s highest treetop walkway! Stairs, bridges and platforms located up to a dizzying 30 metres above the ground are atmospherically lit up in the evenings. Thrills and excitement for the whole family! The “Baumzipfelweg” treetop walkway and the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps in the Hinterglemm valley are open all year round. Closed on Mondays!
